Tips on Running a Design Team

You could call me an accidental manager.

It was after a particularly rough reorg in Marketing and the marketing creative team was moved under the Product Design director. I don't recall the specifics of the meeting, but when I met my new manager, I recall mentioning I would try to provide some continuity within the team. This was probably my first step toward managing.

I found that i was performing many aspects of the lead very naturally.
